Current Staff: 

Social Services Director, Caseworker for Family Welfare, and Administrative Assistant.

The Pyramid Lake Social Services Department is funded under the Bureau of Indian Affairs. PLSS services the areas of the greater Pyramid Lake Reservation; the areas of Nixon, Sutcliffe, Wadsworth and Fernley.

Casework Services provided to those who qualify within the following:

Programs Operated: Child Welfare, which consists of CPS (Child Protective Services; Foster Care, Residential, Guardianship, Adoptions, and out of home placements).

Adult Protective: Adults in need of care due to mental and physical disabilities; exploitation; abused and neglected. Assistance available with placement in licensed group facilities and referrals to other available resources.

Burial Assistance: The Tribe has their own burial assistance. Services eligibility based.

General Assistance: Financial assistance to eligible persons in accordance of BIA regulations. Referrals to TANF; LIEHA, Medicaid, and other state programs for low-income persons. Eligibility must be met with consideration of resources.
